Amanda and Ryan's Wedding at The Green Parrot, Santa Ana

Amanda told me that she gets up every morning at some gosh awful hour to cook Ryan breakfast... and she gushes about how she loves doing it. He beams back at her about how he had secret plans to move her in with him long before it would make sense for them to be serious. Let's just say- he knew right away that this was the one. It's pretty obvious that these two were made for each other and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day!

Engaged- Bridget and Matt, Abbot Kinney

So... It's amazing how busy I've been the last few months. I feel like I've hardly had time to breathe and because of that, fell way behind on posting all of the fantastic stuff I've shot in the last little while. So get ready for a burst of blogging!

Below, meet Bridget and Matt- an adorable couple from Minnesota w
ho's engagement session I had the pleasure of shooting a month or so ago. Bridget is out on the west coast for work while Matt finishes up at school. They've got a long distance love affair going and gave me a few hours of their precious weekend together time to hangout and do some posing in colorful Abbot Kinney. We found some interesting spots and had a great time. Congratulations again Bridget and Matt!!

Engaged!! Lauren and Jeff

I'll be shooting Jeff and Lauren's wedding this coming August on the beach in Cayucos, CA. Some stormy clouds and wind moved in the evening we met for their engagement photos in Santa Monica, but it didn't stop us from making the most of the photo ops on the pier, the beach and of course, the swing sets... so much fun that we went way over the time we had scheduled. These guys make a great couple and I really can't wait to shoot their wedding this summer!

Travis and Katherine's Wedding - San Luis Obispo, CA

This wonderful event took place just outside of San Luis Obispo in the middle of miles and miles of beautifully green, rolling vineyard hills and just down the road from where Travis and Katherine live. If you've ever driven up through the central coast in the spring, you know that there's almost nothing that compares with how gorgeous it is! We shot the group and portrait photos under an amazing, twisted tree that Katherine and Travis affectionately call "Pixie Hollow". It really does look like something out of a fairy tale. Afterwords, the reception went down at the eccentric and quirky Madonna Inn where many great shots were taken- hot pink spilling out of every corner of the place while Katherine and Travis were constantly smiling at each other. Congrats again guys- I'm sure you'll have a very happy life together. I'm glad I was able to be a part of the big day.

Emily and Thomas Get Married in Pismo Beach

It rained and rained leading up to their big day, but hours before the wedding the clouds finally broke and it turned out to be the most gloriously sunny day in late February. We took full advantage of this by moving the wedding party down to the beach for some amazing shots as the sun was about to set. Afterwords, this close knit group of family and friends watched Emily and Thomas take their vows in a beautiful tent ceremony. An amazing party followed...even the kids were gettin' down on the dance floor. Congratulations again to Emily and Thomas!!

Thorn Crown Cathedral in Arkansas

Remember Peter and Niqui? Their engagement session happened a few months ago and they've since relocated to Arkansas. I'm so exciting to be shooting their wedding this summer at the Thorn Crown Cathedral, a majestic glass chapel sitting on top of a hill in the Ozark Mountains near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This amazing piece of architecture is 48 feet tall with 425 windows and over 6,000 square feet of glass. It was chosen 4th on the AIA's top designs of the 20th century. This is guaranteed to be a unique setting- I can't wait.
