From the first day I met with Helen and Greg, I knew this was going to be a pretty special wedding... Their relationship started with a few emails and a whole lot of distance. Over time, they both realized that there was much more to what they had going and Helen made the big move to Austin, TX to be closer. From there, well... it was written in the stars.
The day was sort of a mix between traditional Vietnamese and Western-style wedding traditions. We started with bridal party shots at the beautiful Cal Poly Pomona campus where Helen and one of her closest bridesmaids met on the "bench of destiny" many moons ago. There was a traditional Vietnamese Tea ceremony where Helen wore a hot pink Áo dài style wedding dress and a Khăn đống headdress... so stunning on her! That was followed by a western style, backyard reception complete with delicious looking raspberry and sugar topped cupcakes, raspberry lemonade, a roast pig and gorgeous red gerber daisies. And to top all of that off... we set up a photobooth where everyone got just a bit silly (see next post).
Congrats again to Helen and Greg... and thanks so much for including me in your big day.

The Turner Twins- Beverly Hills
A few weeks back I was lucky enough to capture the adorable cuteness of Lesley's one year old twins. First there was a feeding session with baby food spilling out everywhere, and then a quick crib session before nap time. I was absolutely in love with these little girls... The expressions are too cute for words and make me chuckle every time I look at them.

Engaged: Kimberly & Matt, Griffith Observatory, LA
It's a pretty romantic story thats taken place all over the map... Kimberly and Matt met a few years back in a hostel down in Brazil after which she moved to NY to be closer to him. They're now doing long distance from DC to NYC and having their wedding out here on the west (central) coast. What better place for an engagement session but the beautiful Griffith Observatory? I hadn't been there in years and not since it had been remodeled. So it was fun to run around with these two and check it all out especially when the golden hour came and the light was so nice and golden! I'm very excited to be shooting their wedding up north this fall. Until then, best wishes Kim and Matt!
